Your view: A thank you

Thursday, October 7, 2004

We would like to thank each and everyone who made the 60th Annual American Legion Cotton Carnival a huge success. We appreciate your generosity and support of the Cotton Carnival.

Donations from businesses: First Security State Bank of Sikeston, King's Jewelry, Accent Shop, Sun Sensations, Mills Jewelry, First State Bank and Trust, U.S. Bank of Sikeston, Montgomery Bank, Violet Guthrie with Attitudes, Alyshia's Magical Moments, Sikeston Factory Outlet Stores, Squiggles and Giggles, R.J. Silver Co., The Flower Patch and Kinder Signs.

Pageant committee: Kim Heckemeyer, Kelly Williams, Kristi Vaughn, Vivian Johnson and Vickie Wilson.

Parade marshals Tom Dirnberger and Blair Moran; stage, Sikeston Jaycees; sound: Larry Carroll; equipment, Bill Green Equipment; and the Sikeston Department of Public Safety and Park Board.

Due to a conflict between Tinsley Amusement and the Stoddard County Fair, the American Legion Cotton Carnival Committee would like to apologize for only having four days of the Cotton Carnival instead of the regular five days.

Thank you,

Geniece Kinder
