Supplying alcohol to minors case

CHARLESTON -- A hearing for the Sikeston couple charged with multiple counts of supplying alcohol to minors was continued until Wednesday at the Mississippi County Courthouse in Charleston.

According to Mississippi County's Circuit Court, a partial hearing was conducted Monday and will continue at 3 p.m. Wednesday before Associate Circuit Judge Terry L. Brown.

In July, Mark Cheatham, 49, and his wife, Terry Brewer-Cheatham, 47, pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from a May 20 graduation party at their home.

Officers from Sikeston Department of Public Safety responded to complaints of loud music and underage drinking at their home and broke up the party. The Cheathams were charged with 30 counts each of supplying alcohol to minors.
