SHREVEPORT, La. - Gonda Mae Buckalew, 70, formerly of Bloomfield, Mo., died Oct. 18, 2005, in Shreveport.

Born May 20, 1935, in Bloomfield, daughter of the late Henry and Evelyn Jewell Walker Cagle, she grew up in Missouri and graduated from Bloomfield High School. She was an active member of the Living Water Worship Center in Stonewall.

She was married to Samuel Esman Buckalew, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one son, Philip Buckalew of Shreveport; one daughter, Angela Sumner of Shreveport; four brothers, Bill D. Cagle of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Henry J. Cagle and Charles W. Cagle, both of Bloomfield and Harold Gene Cagle of Dexter, Mo.; three sisters, Laverne Fargerson of Shreveport, Shirley Douglas of Branson, Mo., and Barbara Mayhall of Abilene, Texas; and two grandsons.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at West Pleasant Valley Church near Bloomfield, with the Rev. Mike Baker officiating.

Burial will follow in the West Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
