Sarah Smith

SIKESTON - Sarah E. Smith, 77, died at 12:55 p.m. June 2, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Jan. 2, 1928, in East Prairie, daughter of the late Elmer and Nora Couch, she worked for the International Shoe Factory in Sikeston and retired from the Florsheim Shoe Factory in Cape Girardeau.

On Jan. 1, 1954, she married Joseph C. "Joe" Smith who preceded her in death on Nov. 16, 1977.

Also preceding her in death were one son, Bobby Wright and one daughter, Jo Ann Williams.

Survivors include: three grandchildren and granddaughter-in-law, Shonna Vaughn Williams of Bourbon, Bobby Blake Williams of St. Louis and Mark Allan and Mariam Williams of Rolla; and three great-granddaughters, Samantha Vaughn, Tera Vaughn and Katelyn Vaughn of Bourbon.

Visitation is- from 11 a.m. Monday until service time at 1 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
