Lloyd Boren
SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Thomas Lloyd Boren Jr., 86, died Feb. 29, 2008.
Born May 30, 1921, in Houston, son of the late Thomas and Verda Boren Sr., he served in the Army Air Force during World War II as a 1st Lt. bombardier in the 43rd Bomb Group. He earned the Silver Star, Distinguished Flying Cross, two Purple Hearts, three Air Medals, five Campaign Medals and three group Presidential Citations.
His wife, Helen Boren, survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Ron Greenlee of Sikeston, Mo.; two grandsons, Brian Greenlee of Jackson, Mo., and Scott Greenlee of St. Louis, Mo.; three great-grandchildren, Madison, Lauren and Clayton Greenlee of Jackson; two brothers; and one sister.
One sister also preceded him in death.
A memorial service was conducted March 4 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South in San Antonio.
