SIKESTON -- The Bootheel Bombers dropped their second straight in a 5-2 loss to the Farmington Firebirds on Friday at V.F.W. Memorial Stadium.

The Bombers managed only three hits off winning pitcher Mike Cole.

"We played a solid game," said Bombers manager Matt Marshall, "but they found the holes and we didn't."
