SIKESTON -- Florence Lee Williams Howard, 79, died July 3, 2005, at her home in Sikeston, following an extended illness.

Born Aug. 6, 1925, in Huntianna, Miss., to the late Rodger and Mamie Williams, she was a member of the Divine Second Chance Church.

In 1942, she married George Howard, who preceded her in death on Nov. 27, 1983.

One son, Allen Howard; one daughter, Mary Howard; one grandson, Anthony Fitzgerald Howard; and two great-great-grandchildren, Kristen Harris and Detrevion Tate, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: three sons, James Howard of Chicago and David Howard and Sidney Howard of Sikeston; four daughters and sons-in, Joyce Ann Lewis and Ollie Keller, Evon and Jerome Beasley, Bessie Mae and Blue Neal, all of Sikeston and Estella Fox and Frank Henry of Haywood City; and 32 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. Saturday until time for services at 1 p.m. at Greer's Chapel Church under the Rev. Roy Bonner, pastor. The Rev. Clay Willis, pastor of Divine Second Chance, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Sunset of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.

Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
