Speakout 2/26

Sunday, February 26, 2006

I'm used to seeing police officers with cell phones in their hands while driving. I've often wondered if they were talking to friends or to the dispatcher. But Saturday, I seen a Missouri State Department of Transportation Highway employee in the Business loop of Interstate 57 driving a motor grader plowing snow talking on a cell phone. By the way it takes two hands to operate a motor grader.

I've been reading about Bush and Cheney going quail hunting. I think they need to make it a threesome and take Governor Blunt with them.

Most of the people who take taxis. The people who work in there have a hard time. I was sitting in there visiting the other day. No way would I want that girl's job. People call a cab and supposed to be at work at 7 o'clock. They don't even call 'till 7:30. Then they go tell the boss it's the cab company's fault they're late. Some of them don't even know their own address. They have to learn to speak Spanish before they can even send some of them a time. They cuss the dispatcher. I would have hung up on them. It's not the cab company's fault all the time.

In response to the hurricane relief. It was the American people and countries around the world who helped those people out down there. We all made sure food, clothing, water and supplies got to those people. There was people who gave who weren't able to help themselves, but they gave what they could. It sure wasn't our President and our government who helped out. Bush was too busy worrying about that war in Iraq. And when he did finally show up, he went where things were looking up and looked good. I sure didn't see him going where it still looked like a war zone. Need I say more?
