SIKESTON - Gladies Webb, a licensed practical nurse, was chosen September "Employee of the Month"?at Sikeston Health Care.

Webb, who has been employed at Sikeston Health Care since 1972, was originally hired as a certified nursing assistant and became a licensed practical nurse in 1976. She is IV?certified and is a certified clinical supervisor.

"Gladies has made valuable contributions to our facility through her dedication and her display of caring for the residents of Sikeston Health Care,"?said Sikeston Health Care officials. "She is highly respected by family members, residents and staff."

NEW MADRID - An ex-offender job fair will be held from 9-3 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Resource Center.

Lunch will be provided.

SIKESTON - Lee Bowman, a district representative with Modern Woodmen of America, was the "Agent of the Month" in the Missouri East Agency for August. Bowman joined Modern Woodmen's Rainwater Agency, located in Farmington in November 2003

A facility-wide luncheon was held Sept. 27 at Hunter Acres Caring Center in the honor of Easter Stewart's 20th year of service. Stewart has worked in the dietary department as a cook since Sept. 30, 1987. She is pictured with Joe' Love, left, dietary manager for the facility.

Mayor Mike Marshall, pictured right, recently recognized Public Housing Officer Derick Wheetley as Sikeston Department of Public Safety Employee of the Fourth Quarter with the presentation of a plaque and cash award.

Marshall said that Wheetley, who is new to the public housing program, has exhibited not only an exceptional attitude but also a genuine interest in the success of the program and has shown what a "can do" attitude can accomplish.
