Lucy Martin

HOUSTON - Lucy Jane Martin, 97, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died Dec. 19, 2005, at Woodwind Lakes Nursing Center.

Born July 20, 1908, in Morrilton, Ark., daughter of the late Jack and Ann Parker Lindsey, she was of the Assembly of God belief.

She married James Leonard Martin who preceded her in death on Nov. 16, 1970.

Survivors include: two daughters, Artie Ann Martin LaRose of Houston and Mamie Ruth Martin Davis of Paragould, Ark.; three grandsons, Robert William LaRose Jr. of Houston, Michael LaRose of New Jersey and James LaRose of Missouri City, Texas; and six great-grandchildren.

Services were conducted at 11 a.m. today at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. Her nephew, the Rev. Jerry Martin, officiated.

Burial followed in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie, Mo.
