MARSTON - Alva Mae Kirk, 88, died Jan. 16, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born June 6, 1917, in Morehouse, daughter of the late Clarence Leroy and Lillie Mae Lewis Mims, she was a member of the Pentecostal Church in Marston.

In 1936, she married Cecil Clinton Kirk, who preceded her in death on Aug. 21, 1980.

Also preceding her in death were: one son, Clinton Cecil Kirk; one sister, Zeda Acord; and four brothers, Dale Mims, David Mims, Alfred Mims and Everett Mims.

Survivors include: two sons, George Kirk of Caseyville, Ill., and Bob Kirk of Marston; two daughters, Pauline Cook of Marston and Geraldine Cook of Granite City, Ill.; five brothers, Harold Mims of Hernando, Miss., Raymond Mims of St. Louis, Leslie Mims of Dexter and Wesley Mims and Jerry Mims of Kokomo, Ind.; one sister, Ethel Rudd of Kokomo; and four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is at 4 p.m. today at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Frank Townsend will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
