SAN ANTONIO - Linda Lou Wamble, 58, died at 8:15 a.m. Feb. 8, 2006, at North Central Baptist Hospital in San Antonio.

Born Aug. 29, 1947, in St. Louis, to Mary Lou Brisendine Wamble McDowell of Sikeston and the late Leroy Wamble, she was a graduate of Cleveland High School in St. Louis and worked many years as an office clerk for S.B.C. Communications. Linda was a warm hearted person who loved animals, especially her own three cats she spoiled and called "her boys."

In addition to her mother, she is survived by: one brother and sister-in-law, Thomas Lee and Constance Wamble of St. Charles, Mo.; three nieces, Teresa Vickery, Sarah Magruder and Christine Wamble; two aunts, Mary Crowley and Emma Johnson, both of Sikeston; cousins; great nieces and nephew; her stepfather, Frank McDowell of Sikeston; two stepsisters, Micky Taber and Billie Bridger of Sikeston; one stepbrother, Eddie McDowell of Sikeston; many friends in St. Louis and San Antonio who will miss her; and a special friend, Geraine Tschappler of San Antonio.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Monday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow, next to her father she adored, in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Eddie McDowell, Tom Bridger, Bill Britton, Harold Christian, Jerry Green and Roger Stepp.
