Joe Lasater

MURRAY, Ky. - Joe Franklin Lasater, 74, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died Nov. 24, 2005, at his home.

Born Aug. 22, 1931, in Puryear, Tenn., son of the late Enoch H. and Ida Bell Miller Lasater, he had attended Sikeston Public Schools and was retired from Freed Cotham Sheet Metal Company in Murray. He was a member of Murray First Baptist Church and Murray Lodge 105 FM and AM.

On May 6, 1950, he married Sybil Jean Kaiser, who survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Will Aubrey of Murray and Lana and Michael White of Buchanan, Tenn.; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Dayton and Trina Lasater of Palm Coast, Fla., and Joe Franklin Lasater of Murray; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Andrew Lasater and Dayton Lasater.

Services with Masonic rites were conducted Saturday at J. H. Churchill Funeral Home with Dr. Wendell Ray officiating.

Burial followed in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Buchanan, Tenn.
