Two arrested for making terroristic threats to business
DEXTER --Two Dexter residents were arrested in connection to a false bomb threat made to Tyson Foods.
Arrested were Misty Michelle Brown, 33, and John Dee Brown, 54, on warrants for making terroristic threats.
According to a news release from the Dexter Police Department, the threat was made around 4:18 p.m. Thursday to Tyson Foods. At the time of the report, Tyson employees were evacuated to a safe location.
The Dexter Police Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol and Stoddard County Sheriff's Department, along with Tyson officials, conducted a very thorough search of the interior and exterior of the plant; and nothing was located.
Bond is set at $50,000 cash for each of the subjects; both which remained in jail as of press time.
An additional arrest is pending, the news release said.
This is the second bomb threat in three days in Dexter. On Tuesday, a threat was called into the T.S. Hill Middle School around 11:03 a.m. and students were evacuated.
Two juvenile boys reportedly admitted to their actions in connection with the threat. The two were being held at the Stoddard County Juvenile Detention Center, and are slated to appear Tuesday for their detention hearing.
