Letter to the Editor

Your View: Students praised

Monday, October 8, 2007

I would like to take this opportunity to commend Addie Vaughn and Brittny Meredith of the Sikeston High School Bulldog Barker for the excellent coverage on their editorial on the American Legion's 63rd Annual Cotton Carnival.

You put a lot of heart and humor in your research on the history of the Cotton Carnival. It is young people like you that take such an interest in our community that makes our year-long work worthwhile. There is a lot of hard work to be done each year before the annual Cotton Carnival.

Also, I would like to comment Tim Jaynes of the Sikeston Standard for his excellent coverage on our week-long Cotton Carnival.

On behalf of myself and the American Legion Cotton Carnival, we would like to thank you for such an outstanding job. We salute you.
