Stella Hulshof

PORTAGEVILLE - Stella Cecelia Hulshof, 91, died Dec. 7, 2007, at Portageville Nursing Center.

Born June 25, 1916, at Portageville, to the late Daniel K. and Eda Ellen Durbin, she was a member of the St. Eustachius Church and Ladies Sodality in Portageville.

She was married to Herman Hulshof, and he preceded her in death.

Three sons, Louis Hulshof, Ed Hulshof and Stephen Hulshof; one daughter, Agnes Hulshof; two brothers, the Rev. Ambrose Durbin and Oliver Durbin; and four sisters, Viola Swims, Marie Durbin, Christine Elliot and Helen Durbin also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one son, Robert Hulshof of Portageville; three daughters, Mary Ellen Trenery of Cape Girardeau, Ann Schwendemann of Portageville and Theresa Bean of Kansas City; and 23 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is at 6 p.m. tonight, with a rosary to be said at 7 p.m. at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville. Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Eustachius Catholic Church with the Rev. Allan Sanders officiating.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
