PUXICO - Larry Hancock, 62, died Dec. 18, 2006, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Oct. 26, 1944, in Puxico, to Ellsworth Hancock of Puxico and the late Mary Kitchen Hancock, he lived all his life in Puxico and in 1990, he graduated from Southeast Missouri State University. He was a farmer, bus driver for Puxico Public Schools and the Duck Creek township collector. He attended the Duck Creek Missionary Baptist Church, was a member of the Puxico Masonic Lodge AF and AM, the Scottish Rite in St. Louis and the Army National Guard.

On Nov. 26, 1977, in Bell City, he married Patricia "Pat" Kay Nichols, who survives.

Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Richie and Kara Hancock of Puxico; two daughters and one son-in-law, Jaime Lynne Hancock and Jackie and Todd Wilkerson of Puxico; three brothers, Keith Hancock, Tim Hancock and Todd Hancock of Puxico; two sisters, Debra Gillean of Fisk and Darla Crain of Puxico; and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Diane Hancock.

Visitation is at 4 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Puxico High School Gymnasium. Jerry Park of Puxico and the Rev. Dean Medlin of Parma will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Duck Creek Cemetery, near Puxico.
