DEXTER -- Jo Adams, 82, died Dec. 9, 2007, at the Cypress Point Health Care facility.

Born April 8, 1925, in St. Louis, to the late Pasquale and Anna Mazza Caruana, she had lived in St. Louis before moving to Dexter in 1987. She was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary at Missouri Southern Healthcare and had worked in real estate before retiring. She was of the Baptist belief.

On Dec. 18, 1972, in St. Louis, she married Marvin Adams who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Clyde T. Schellenger of Phoenix; one daughter, Carolyn Poster of Dexter; one brother, Sam Caruana of Englewood, Colo.; and eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Geraldine Chipp; and four brothers, Tony Caruana, Leroy Caruana, Joseph Caruana and Phillip Caruana.

No services will be conducted.

Burial will be at a later date in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
