Arthur Summers Jr.

ATHENS, Ala. - Arthur William Summers Jr., 72, formerly of Morehouse, Mo., died Sept. 22, 2006.

Born March 12, 1934, in Pine Bluff, Ark., he was the son of the late A.W. and Nota Summers Sr.

His wife, Patricia Summers, survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Neil Jeffery Summers and Shawn Summers; three daughters, LaTisha Kay Lounsbury, Beverly Jean Cotten and Lauri Lee Ketcherside; four stepsons, Rick Jordan, Raymond Jordan, Rexford Jordan and Rocky Jordan; two stepdaughters, Robin Fortner and Lisa Maxwell; one brother, Charles Summer of Muscle Shoals; one sister, Betty Jo Harp of Morehouse, Mo.; and 29 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Monday at the Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens. Kevin Harbin officiated.

Burial followed in the Dement Cemetery.
