Bobby Long

MARSHALL - Bobby Joe Long, 66, died at 9:15 a.m. April 29, 2007, at Sweet Spring Hospital in Sweet Springs.

Born Oct. 14, 1940, in Columbus, Ky., to the late Byoma and Addie May Wilson Long, he was a self-employed carpenter and a member of New Savannah Baptist Church.

He first married Peggy Warren who preceded him in death in 1965. He later married Gloria Hughes who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: four sons, Ricky Long, Quentin Long, Billie Long and Eddie Long of Marshall; three daughters, Tammy Long, Michelle Long and Bobby Long of Marshall; two brothers, Virgil Long of Benton and Frank Quertermous of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Carolyn Butrum of Sikeston; and 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by one daughter and four brothers.

Private memorial graveside services will be held at a later date.
