Nathan Chaney

DEXTER - Nathan L. Chaney, 59, died July 24, 2007, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Born Aug. 29, 1947, in Qulin, son of the late Thomas and Garnett Burnett Chaney, he was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

Survivors include: his common-law wife, Marketta Legitt of Dexter; two sons, Michael Chaney and Troy Chaney; one daughter, Hannah Chaney; three brothers, Terry Chaney of Dexter, Larry Bailey of Poplar Bluff and Howard Bailey of Sikeston; five sisters, Betty Richardson of Weatherford, Texas, Sharon Pullum of Bloomfield, Sharlene Waters of Poplar Bluff, Shirley Niswonger of Broseley and Teresa Bailey of the state of Michigan.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
