Pearson - Johns

SIKESTON -- Jimmy and Mary Pearson have announced the engagement of their daughter, Amy Renae, to Eric Van Johns, son of Vanice and Betty Johns of Sikeston.

A 2002 graduate of Sikeston Senior High School, the future bride expects to graduate from Southeast Missouri State University in May 2007 with a degree in social work. She is employed full-time by Columbus Care Center.

The prospective bridegroom is graduate of Fort Zumwalt Senior High in O'Fallon and is majoring in accounting at Southeast Missouri State University. He is employed by Nestle Purina Pet Care in Bloomfield.

Plans are under way for a Jan. 6, 2007, wedding.
