Susie McFerron

CHAFFEE - Susie I. McFerron, 79, died at 12:15 p.m. March 9, 2007, at her home.

Born March 22, 1927, in Chaffee, to the late William Leonard and Gladys Irene Bailey Shackles, she was a retired office manager of McFerron State Farm Insurance Agency in Chaffee. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and senior adult Sunday school class in Chaffee, Chaffee P.E.O. and the Ladies Auxiliary Chaffee VFW Post 3127.

On Sept. 4, 1945, she married James R. McFerron, who preceded her in death on June 29, 1980.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Helen McFerron of Branson West; one daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and David Nolen of Chaffee; one brother and sister-in-law, Bailey and Betty Shackles of O'Fallon; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is at 4 p.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Cliff Day will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
