MORLEY -- John George Demko, 82, died at 7:58 p.m. Aug. 5, 2006, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born July 25, 1924, in Bayonne, N.J., son of the late John and Mary Marcinko Demko, he was an electronic engineer and had worked with Civilian in Fort Monmouth, N.J. and Electronic Associates in Long Branch, N.J. He was a veteran of the United States Marines Corps, having served during World War II.

On May 28, 1949, in Bayonne, he married Ellen May who survives of the home in Morley.

Other survivors include: two sons, Thomas John Demko of Bayville, N.J. and Joseph Demko of Las Vegas; two daughters, Lisa Walker of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands and Laura Johnson of Red Bank, N.J.; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

No services have been scheduled.
