Ellen Lee

BERTRAND -- Ellen Maxine Lee, 65, formerly of Columbia, died at 4:43 a.m. Sept. 9, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Sept. 13, 1940, in Bertrand, daughter of the late Leon and Ellen O'Tillia Peters Swinney, she lived most of her life in Columbia, moving back to Bertrand in 1996. She was a member of the Sikeston Community Baptist Church in Sikeston.

She was married to Robert Lee who preceded her in death on June 6, 1995.

One brother, John Delbert Swinney, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one son, Michael Allen Lee of Houston; two brothers, Ed Swinney of Sikeston and Paul Swinney of O'Fallon; and one sister, Wanda Lee Parsons of Bertrand.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at the Milner and Orr Funeral Home in Wickliffe, Ky., where services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Glenn Cantrell will officiate.

Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Blandville.
