Charline Mead

LILBOURN - Charline Whitfield Mead, 85, died Nov. 7, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Aug. 11, 1921, in Euport, Miss., daughter of the late Pervis and Hattie Miller Boyd, she had lived in Missouri since 1949. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Catron where she served as an usher.

Survivors include: her husband, Gussie Lee Mead of the home; three sons, Albert Charles Whitfield of Chicago, Albert Mead of Howardville and Ervin Mead of Parma; four daughters, Gloria Carter and Aura Hampton of New Madrid and Pauletta Bledsoe and Doris Pope of Howardville; two sisters, Molly Harmon and Beola Gunn of Chicago; and a host of grandchildren, great-

grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 1 p.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Monday at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Lilbourn with the pastor, the Rev. Kenneth Holloway, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Simmons Park Cemetery in Catron.

Williams Funeral Home of Howardville is in charge of arrangements.
