SIKESTON -- The Progressive Farm Credit Services has announced plans to build a new 10,540 square foot Corporate Office at 1114 N. Main in Sikeston. This new facility will replace their 47 year old office near downtown Sikeston.

Progressive Farm Credit Services is a $500 million farmer-owned agricultural lending cooperative that has provided real estate, equipment, operating loans and related insurance products to farmers, rural homeowners, and agribusinesses in the 12 counties of Southeast Missouri since 1917.

"This new facility will better accommodate our current and future needs," said Ron Milbach, association president and CEO. "Over the past five years, our organization has grown over 50 percent. This building will provide enhanced facilities for training, computer services and communications, as well as board meetings."

Dale Rogers of Robert Stearns & Associates is the architect on the project and C. A. Walker Construction will be the general contractor. Construction is expected to be complete by June 2009.

Progressive FCS serves 1,850 stockholder/customers through their eight branch locations in Caruthersville, Dexter, Jackson, Kennett, Mississippi County, Poplar Bluff, Portageville, and Sikeston.
