Sikeston employees of the fourth quarter

DPS officer honored

Mayor Mike Marshall, pictured right, recently recognized Public Safety Officer Bobby Penrod as the Sikeston Department of Public Safety Employee of the Fourth Quarter with the presentation of a plaque and cash award at a City Council meeting. Marshall said Penrod exhibits a good attitude, has an excellent working knowledge of police work, and is a very productive officer who maintains a good rapport with citizens.

Public Works employee recognized

Collin Cecil, right, who is celebrating his 20th year of employment with the city, recently received a cash award and plaque after being named the Sikeston Department of Public Works' Employee of the Fourth Quarter. In presenting the award, Mayor Mike Marshall, said Cecil is an integral part of Code Enforcement operations and serves as a valuable source of information. Marshall also said Cecil is the type of employee that not only recognizes problems but also offers suggestions to resolve the problems.
