Missouri Department of Transportation workers measure steel that was damaged on the viaduct bridge over Interstate 57 at Bertrand. The bridge's steel girder was damaged Dec. 10 when a coalbin being transported by a tractor-trailer struck the bridge as the truck attempted to pass under the bridge in the eastbound lanes. Replacement of bridge's steel girder is scheduled for next week, weather permitting, according to Jeff Lambert, district bridge maintenance engineer for MoDOT.
