Bakers mark their silver anniversary

SIKESTON -- Mr. and Mrs. Michael Baker celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a renewal of their vows during a 6 p.m. ceremony Dec. 27, 2008, at Jubilee House of Prayer. Audrey Gayle Emmanuel, pastor, officiated. A "Celebration of Love" reception followed at the BRI Community Room in Sikeston.

Baker and the former Beverly Brandy were married Dec. 11, 1983, in Sikeston. They have eight children, Stephon of Milwaukee, Wis.; Johnathon of Little Rock, Ark.; Mandell of Columbia; Amy of Tulsa, Okla.; Regenial of Commerce; Michael and Sheanell of Sikeston; and the late Javon. They also have 22 grandchildren.

The couple are lifelong residents of Sikeston. Baker has worked various jobs throughout Sikeston and is now disabled. Mrs. Baker is employed by Unilever in Sikeston.
