CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Dylan Drury and the Notre Dame Bulldogs proved on Tuesday afternoon why they are the No. 1 team in the SEMO Conference. Handing the visiting Sikeston Bulldogs a 5-0 loss, they improved their record to 15-0 on the season.

Drury was solid on the hill as he threw a complete game, giving up no runs on four hits while walking two and striking out seven.

Drury also provided an extra insurance run for himself as he took Blair Bohannon deep in the bottom of the third inning over the right center field fence.

"He's a gamer," said Notre Dame head coach Jeff Graviett of his starting pitcher. "He's been swinging the bat extremely well all year long and outside of a coupe of starts he's really been one of our top couple of guys on the mound.

"He had pretty much all of his stuff working and could throw it in any count. If you can do that at this level, the high school level, then you're going to be pretty tough on the mound."
