Scott County paving season began April 22

BENTON -- The Scott County Health Department is on course to help battle the swine flu, if it develops in the area.

During their regular meeting on Thursday, the Scott County Commission met with local health department officials to discuss the disease and local preparations. Barry Cook, administrator at the Scott County Health Department, and Jerry Lathum, planner with the New Madrid County Health Department who is a Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services representative, shared pamphlets and information and answered questions from commissioners.
