Bids awarded for 2010 street program

SIKESTON -- The city of Sikeston will be able to add in two parking lots including striping at the Sports Complex, do a complete reconstruction of Elm from Courtney to Virginia, and still come in $26.75 under budget for the 2010 Street and Stormwater Drainage Improvement Program.

Council members awarded the bids as recommended by staff including change orders for the parking lots during their regular meeting Monday.

"We got good prices," said Steve Lee, superintendent of the street division.
