Drugs discovered by deputies

BENTON -- A Haywood City man remains in custody following a Christmas day arrest.

Aaron Peet, 21, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, Sheriff Rick Walter said in a news release.

Walter said two law enforcement officers came into contact with Peet at a local nightclub, and found him in possession of several plastic baggies of marijuana. After a brief struggle the deputies took Peet in to custody.

Bond is set at $15,000.
