The New Madrid Historical Museum celebrated Mardi Gras, raised money for a new exhibit on earthquakes and made one person $10,000 richer on Saturday. Through a series of "draw downs," Lynel DeWitt held the last remaining card making him the winner of the money, however several others ended the night winners with numerous door prizes, including Cardinal baseball tickets and coolers given away. Reading out the names of the "losers" during the draw down is Clement Cravens, who was assisted by Natalie Hunter. Museum officials described the fundraiser as very successful and said they are already planning for Mardi Gras 2012.
