Car strikes Sikeston business

SIKESTON -- A Sikeston business was damaged Friday after a vehicle struck it.

About 3:45 p.m. Friday, Sikeston Department of Public Safety received a call of a motor vehicle accident at Applebee's Restaurant on Main Street in Sikeston.

A 69-year-old customer of the restaurant attempted to pull into a parking space when her vehicle jumped the parking block and ran into the front of the building, according to Sgt. Jim McMillen, public information officer for DPS.
