The pace of construction is picking up at the Sikeston Department of Public Safety's new building at the corner of South Kingshighway and Trotter streets. As concrete continues to be poured, the steel arrived Tuesday for the building. The building will include a large basement, three-bay garage and offices. Penzel Construction Co. of Jackson is in charge of the project, which is expected to cost $4,963,560.
