Jerry Boyd

LAKE JACKSON, Texas -- Jerry Randall Boyd, 77, died Nov. 10, 2011, at his home.

He was born April 16, 1934, in Hereford, Texas, to the late H.C. and Golden Boyd. After 30 years in banking, he became an entrepreneur opening several Wendy's franchise restaurants, which eventually brought him to the Lake Jackson area.

Survivors include: his wife, Donna Boyd; one daughter and son-in-law, Gerry Lynn and Bill Paylor of Sikeston, Mo.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Todd and Melody Boyd of Lake Jackson and Tracey and Cathy Boyd of Hazel Green, Ala.; one stepson and his wife, Chris and Brenda Jeannott of Surfside Beach, Texas; one stepdaughter, Dawn Oden of Lake Jackson; one sister, Judy Kay Boyd of Braggadocio, Mo.; and one grandchild Richard Paylor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Julian Boyd.

A memorial service was conducted Nov. 16, 2011, at Lakewood Funeral Chapel in Clute, Texas, with Pastor Thomas Lester officiating.
