Violet Glastetter

ORAN -- Violet Glastetter, 89, died April 22, 2012, at her home.

Born Aug. 22, 1922, in Oran, to the late Adam and Anna Eftink Hooker, she was a retired machine operator for International Hat Factory in Oran. She was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, St. Ann Sodality, Morley V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary 5368, Chaffee American Legion Ladies Auxiliary 389 and Ladies K.C. Ettes Council 4311.

On July 26, 1941, she married Lester Glastetter who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Leonard and Linda Glastetter and Larry and Patty Glastetter of Oran; one daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Richard Randolph of Oran; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Hooker.

Visitation is scheduled after 4 p.m. today, with a parish Rosary at 7 p.m. and K.C. prayers at 7:15 p.m., at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Guardian Angel Catholic Church with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop serving as celebrant.

Burial will follow at Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery in Oran.
