Seventh and eighth grade students at the Sikeston Junior High School learned about career possibilities from 29 different people including those in welding, nursing, insurance, law, counseling, pharmaceutical sales and the military. Above: Shane Washburn, a member of the Sikeston Department of Public Safety, introduces students to the tools of the trade used in fighting fires. Lynn Greenlee, a cake decorator, showed students the art of creating designs for cake. Counselor Andrea Baker, who organized the day along with Paul Maddox, said the day went well. "We are appreciative of the support from the community to make this a success," she added.
