MATTHEWS -- Bonnie Jo Walls, 83, died Aug. 27, 2012, at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Feb. 11, 1929, in Canalou, to the late George and Audry Ginger Lefler, she was a homemaker. She was a member of Big Ridge General Baptist Church in Matthews and attended Fellowship Baptist Church in Sikeston.

On Jan. 25, 1949, in Piggott, Ark., she married Linzy H. Walls, who preceded her in death on July 14, 2000.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Doyle Lefler and Carol Ginger Lefler (in infancy); and two sisters, Imogene Garrett and Wilda Hill.

Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Rebecca Walls of Matthews and James and Lisa Walls of Catron; one daughter and son-in-law, Ginger and Gary McWaters of Sikeston; and one brother, Allen Lefler of Yukon, Okla.; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Joe McCullough, pastor of the Fellowship Baptist Church of Sikeston, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Matthews Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Lynn Walls, Michael Walls, Travis Walls, Justin Walls, Trevor Williams and Tony Chism.
