James Wilmurth

CHARLESTON -- James Ellis Wilmurth, 50, formerly of East Prairie, died Oct. 8, 2012, at his home.

Born Aug. 14, 1962, at St. George, Bermuda, to the late Billy Woodrow and Alberta Novola "Bert" Bowen Wilmurth, he was a 1980 graduate of East Prairie High School and had been employed as a commercial truck driver. A U.S. Navy veteran, he attended the First General Baptist Church in East Prairie.

Surviving are: one son, Yoshiyuki Wilmurth of Japan; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Duane Lee and Janet Wilmurth of St. Louis and Calvin Eugene and Terri K. Wilmurth of Charleston; and one nephew and four nieces.

Visitation is scheduled from 3 p.m. until time of services at 7 p.m. Thursday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Buddy Hannah of East Prairie will officiate.
