New product for allergies can't be used making meth

SIKESTON -- A drug manufacturer appears to have recently released the solution that could make everybody happy -- everybody except meth cooks, that is.

According to Mark McClendon, SEMO Drug Task Force supervisor, a new product called Zephrex D appears to be very much like Claritan D and other products that contain pseudoephedrine with one important exception: the pseudoephedrine can't be extracted.
