BLOOMFIELD -- Billie J. "Catfish" McClure, 80, died Nov. 18, 2012, at his home.

Born Dec. 6, 1931, in Clinton, Ark., son of the late Luther and Thelma Shipley McClure, he was a former employee with the St. Louis shipyards and had also worked as a farmer.

On Aug. 11, 1954, in Bell City, he married Jean Bruce, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are: three sons and daughters-in-law, James Allen "Bo" and Sally McClure of Loganville, Ga., and Robert Eugene and Cindy McClure and Billy Gene and Cheryl McClure of Bloomfield; two daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy Sue and Rob Kennedy of Bernie and Pamela JoAnn and Rick McClure of Wappapello; three brothers, Gene McClure, Orvan McClure and L.J. McClure; five sisters, Shirley, Margaret, Owdia, Patricia and Ruby; and 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Scott Edward McClure; two brothers, Weldon McClure and Carl McClure; and one sister, Lucille.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter where services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Dale Holman will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
