Sikeston JV wrestlers fall 17-12 in dual

DEXTER -- The Sikeston junior high wrestling team had 12 wins and 17 losses during a dual match between Dexter and Cape Central Tuesday night in Dexter.

This was Sikeston's first meet of the season.

"I thought the boys did well," Sikeston coach Matt Johnson said. "They executed what they are learning in practice and showed a lot of potential. We have some things to work on but I think we have a number of boys that will be successful in the future."

Sikeston's next meet will be Saturday when they take part in the Farmington Invitational tournament.
