Joyce Henderson

EAST PRAIRIE -- Joyce Evelyn Henderson, 69, died at 3:36 p.m. Nov. 30, 2012, at her home.

Born Oct. 25, 1943, in East Prairie to the late Jessie and Ann L. Yielding Burrell, she lived all of her life in East Prairie where she was a member of the Elm Street Baptist Church.

On Sept. 12, 1961, at East Prairie she married Jim Henderson, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Jimmy Henderson of East Prairie; two daughters and one son-in-law, Rita Cade and Tammy and David Williams of East Prairie; two sisters, Dixie Baker of Brookport, Ill., and Bertha Gore of Matthews; and 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, one brother, Jessie "Sonny" Burrell preceded her in death.

Visitation begins at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. Jon Archie will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.
