Charles Shultz
SIKESTON -- Charles Shultz, 74, died Jan. 29, 2013, at his home.
Born Nov. 7, 1938, in Kennett, to the late Lee Edward and Mildred Gay Shultz, he graduated from Kennett High School and attended University of Missouri-Columbia. He was an insurance adjuster for Shelter Insurance for 34 years before retiring.
On Sept. 6, 1959, at Poplar Bluff, he married Patricia Beecher who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons and a daughter-in-law, Brad Shultz of Sikeston and Rick and Melanie Shultz of Chandler, Ariz.; one sister, Lavon "Bonnie" Shultz of Sikeston; and four grandchildren, Christopher Bradlee Shultz, Bailey Elizabeth Shultz, Briana Maurine Shultz and Patrick Marshall Shultz; and a special friend, Bob Post of St. Mary.
In addition to his parents, one sister preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Friday at the Ponder Funeral Home. The Rev. Carol Lucy, minister of Assembly of God, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be: Patrick Shultz, Robert Gum, Gene Yokley, Dr. John Honeycutt, Colen Kelley and Josh Honeycutt.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Christopher Shultz, Dr. William Shell, Richard Pyland, Jerry Plunk and Jack Patterson.
