Catherine Kerby

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Catherine Kerby, 91, formerly of Scott City, Mo., died Feb. 13, 2004, at her daughter's home in Lawrenceville.

Born June 4, 1912, in Seminole, Okla., daughter of the late Wesley and Ona Strosnider, she worked at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau before retiring. After retirement, she and her husband operated Kerby's Bait Shop for 25 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Scott City.

On March 25, 1929, at Wewokay, Okla., she married Galen "Slim" Kerby who preceded her in death on Aug. 28, 1994.

Survivors include: two sons, John Kerby of Benton, Mo., and Mike Kerby of Lawrenceville; one daughter, Nancy Ingemanson of Lawrenceville; and 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Scott City is in charge of arrangements.
