SCOTT CITY - Charles Virgil Miller, 90, died at 9:45 a.m. Dec. 24, 2003, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born Jan. 6, 1913, in Anna, Ill., son of the late Eugene and Anna Ingraham Miller, he was a towboat deckhand before retiring. He served with the U.S. Army in World War II and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso and VFW Post 6407 in Scott City.

On Aug. 24, 1957, at Kelso, he married Anna Rovina Halter who preceded him in death on Sept. 1, 1972.

He leaves no known survivors.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, where parish prayers will be said at 6 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Augustine Catholic Church with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery at Kelso.
