Your view: Tour was success

Monday, January 12, 2004

On behalf of the Sikeston Depot, I would like to thank all those who bought tickets and helped Sikeston have its Third Annual Christmas Home Tour.

The great coverage by the Standard Democrat and staff helped to launch our ticket sales. The homes of Janet and Tom Hudspeth, Ronda and Steve Palmer, Dee and Harold Yarbrough and Lisa and Mike Pobst were festive and everyone touring had wonderful things to say about each home. Helen's Florist and Park View Florist once again volunteered to help sponsor the event. Without all this support, we could not continue to make this a yearly event. Thank you.

The tour is a great way to bring people to Sikeston to take part in the tour, visit the Depot and raise money to support other projects. I would also like to thank all the behind-the-scenes people, Anita Sharp and her volunteers who bake the cookies, serve refreshments, sell tickets and collect them at the door.

We already have two homes lined up for 2004. If you would like to be a part of the tour, please call 471-9320 before Sept. 1. We like to show houses from all parts of Sikeston. The point of the tour is to have a love for Christmas decorating and want to share it with the community for three hours. This is a wonderful way to contribute to the future of the Sikeston Depot. Please consider putting your home on the tour.

LaDona DeKriek,

Home Tour coordinator
